Our story.
a note from Christine —
What I learned by teaching French to preschool kids in New York.
As a Digital Designer and French expat, I’ve been fascinated by young kids’ ability to learn multiple languages at the same time. I grew up in France, and I know how important learning the basics of French vocabulary, syllables, sounds are in the early stage of a kid’s life. Because learning to read is hard. Learning to read French is even harder.
I wanted to create something fun to support their ability to practice French in their daily life. Kids' attention span is short. A 10-min practice everyday is better than a 2-hour one time session!
That’s how Juno came to life.
A mobile app designed intentionally with mini games to encourage learning and practice of French through play. With this in mind, I hope to continue to develop ideas that are simple, playful, and help kids discover the power and richness of the French language.
Juno ("iuno" in Latin)
Noun derived from iuvenis; means juvenile, youthful.
